Last Monday, about 7:20 p.m. the emergency service of Castilla y León received an emergency call that warned about the disappearance of a two-year-old girl and a dog of race podenco who were walking in the forest with his father in the town of Gil Garcia.
The search and locating devices, made up of civilian guards of the region, the Mountain Rescue and Intervention Group (Greim), Civil Protection, with the support of the Helicopter Unit, the Cynological Service and numerous volunteers were activated area.
The location of the footprints of the small one in the one of the roads of the mount, several kilometers from the place of the disappearance, was taken as reference for the search and after seven hours the Chief Sergeant of the Greim of Ávila and members of the Seprona listened to the growling of the dog, which made it possible to locate the girl, who was curled up and asleep next to some brambles, wrapped by her pet, which did not separate from her at any moment.
Once it was verified that the minor's physical and psychological state was good, except for a few scratches on her body, she was transferred to the Sanitary Services to be recognized and then returned to her parents, who actively participated in the search.
The Group of People of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Avila, is carrying out research to clarify the events.
