Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Todra Gorges
After the breakfast Leaving Fez and going to Todra Gorges, passing through Ifrane to arrive to the cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys are located. It will be good opportunity to take photos of wilderness in Morocco. Lunch in a small Berber village. We continue the way through the Atlas Mountains enjoying the landscapes of Medilt to arrive to the small town of Rich. Here we turn right to pass through the famous town of Imilchil before arriving to Toudra Gorges in evening. Dinner and overnight stay in a Hotel.
Day 2: Todra Gorges – Tinghir – Tinjdad – Rissani – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast, walk on foot through this stunning place while enjoying the views of high rock walls. From here we drive to Merzouga passing by Tinejdad, Erfoud. You may have a stop in Erfoud to visit one of the marble fossils Carriers then continue to your hotel situated on the foots of the orange dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dinner and overnight stay in a Hotel.
Day 3: Tour around Erg Chebbi Desert – Camel Ride & Night in Desert
After breakfast in the hotel, you will start an explorative journey of the area, you will visit the nomads in their goat hair tent and learn about the desert life, afterwards you visit the Gnaoua people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, here you will have the opportunity to listen to their music and learn about their culture and lifestyle. Depending on what time of year you visit, you may have a visit to the lake of Merzouga and its bird population such as the “Flamingos”. On the afternoon, we will drive you to the desert camp, to explore within the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi. You will enjoy the beauty of the Sahara desert and the sunset over the golden dunes. After the sunset you will enjoy your dinner in front of the camp where you will spend your first night under, or if you prefer, under the stars. Our camp is equipped with western bathrooms.
Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Medilt – Ifrane – Fes
We will wake up early to enjoy a magnificent sunrise on the dunes then take a camel ride back to the hotel. After freshening up and breakfast we’ll leave for Fez.We will travel via the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas mountains as we depart the desert region to Fes. We will drive through the cedar forests of Azrou and stop to hand feed the monkeys. We will continue via Ifrane, the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’ to arrive early evening to Fes and transfer to the hotel of your choice. End of our services.
