“Blade Runner 2” has officially added an Animal to its cast.
Batista announced on Twitter and Instagram Monday that he has agreed to join the cast of the long-awaited sequel to the iconic sci-fi film. The six-time World Champion, whose movie resume includes featured roles in blockbuster movies such as “Spectre,” “Guardians of the Galaxy” and the upcoming “Kickboxer: Vengeance,” explained in his post that he was excited to join the project, to be directed by Denis Villeneuve.
“I couldn’t be more proud,” he said on Instagram. “A dream come true.”
The Animal now joins a star-studded cast which includes Harrison Ford reprising his legendary role as Rick Deckard as well as Robin Wright and Ryan Gosling. Principal photography for “Blade Runner 2” is scheduled to begin in July.
